Is there a way to manually close the cover below the sunroof ?

hello, my electric fan does not start when I press the air conditioner. the 20 fuse burns in 2 seconds. what could be the problem. my car is e38 from 1994. Thank you

Could this just be a lubrication problem? I have a e53 x5 and it seems that the rear glass doesn’t go down because there is too much friction on the rails. I was thinking of puttin vaseline on those and moving them by hand to see if that would fix it, if not then I’m too going to disable the rear glass.

so i did this, but what happened to me, was that the blower motor would go on, but nothing through the vents. i replaced the wiring loom, regulator and blower motor. the blower motor goes on, but nothing through the air vents? what do you think would cause this

If anyone that disables the aft half of the roof, I could use the clip that drops out from the removal of the spring clip on the pax side. This clip of mine broke and is the reason my aft roof will not tilt. I did use this procedure to get the aft roof to lay flat but I’m not at the point of cutting the tabs off until i try to find this part. Of course you have to buy the entire rail assy to get a two dollar part!

If u drive in a sunny weather,with panoramic closed,does the sun iritate ur skin or something? I wanna buy an e61 with panoramic that doesnt have that opaque part.

About to repair my front curtain (a known problem with BMW sunroofs), I discovered the "Wind" mode. So I try and that's when my problems begin: like yours, my front roof won't close because it overlaps the rear. So I dismantled the rear roof then the front one. After research and after removing the upper interior trim (and refitting) I found your video which corresponded exactly to my problem. I followed the modification you made in part 2. I now have a sunroof with the "ventilation" function on the front part which works perfectly. Thank you so much ;)

Do you know what part numbers you need to buy to get them replaced?

It is now possible to buy a repair kit of fix this without losing the vent function on the rear part. However it requires removing the sunroof cassette and replacing all the plastic pieces as well as cables, so it's pretty labour intensive. I've done it once at work and it's not really that bad if you have patience. Expect to leave the car without the sunroof cassette overnight though so don't attempt that repair outside. Personally, if it was my car, I'd do it like in this video as I really don't see a point in having a vent function for the rear glass as well.

Hello guys ,i tried to polish some scratches on my digital instrument cluster and now when the sun is beating in the screen i have some purple haze ,will a screen protector hide that or i need to polish it ???PLS help

I wish someone would show the actual repair for this . the wedge pieces do break somehow and the make the replacements . this is a patch to close the roof only and now you cant use the vent which is what I use most often . there is other videos on how to disengauge the rear glass vent so it just vents from the front but I would rather fix it correctly so it works like it should . it is a bmw of course and you want everything working properly. - I dont what to be the guy that doesnt fix broken shit on the car- I see way too much of this and just shake my head and people wonder why there car is worth less because of premium accesories dont work in thier luxury cars/suvs. the full repair kit is 100$ - just need to see how to install it.
